Programs
How the work gets done
Three programs, plus the narrative and scripted works that carry the same educational purpose to a wider audience.
Program 01
Documentary Education Program
We produce documentary work that brings humanitarian crises, conflict, and reconciliation to the public. Every film is built on documented events and firsthand accounts gathered in the field, and every film is released free to the public.
Our Burma field report is the current example. A team of military veterans went in, gathered interviews and firsthand accounts from people living through the conflict, and brought back a record of what they saw.
Program 02
Veteran Storyteller Program
We train aspiring filmmakers and storytellers through hands-on instruction in the field, working alongside experienced crew members on real productions. A structured curriculum and instructional video series are in development.
Training is open to all. Recruitment focuses on veterans, because for them this work repurposes the skills, discipline, and firsthand experience gained in military service into a new vocation in public education, giving those who served a continued mission after the uniform.
Program 03
Nonprofit Partner Program
We collaborate with other nonprofits, educational institutions, and community organizations, producing story work they could not produce alone and helping them reach the public with it.
Partners bring the access and the subject knowledge. We bring the crew, the training, and the distribution. The finished work belongs to the public.
Also
Narrative and scripted works
Alongside documentary, we produce narrative and scripted work grounded in documented events, firsthand veteran accounts, and the documented realities common to veterans and conflict-affected communities.
Characters and storylines may be composites drawn from those realities, selected for educational impact and released with discussion and resource materials. This is educational storytelling, not clinical treatment, and we do not present it as therapy.
Want to be part of it?
Crew, subject, partner, or backer. There is a way in for most people who care about this work.
